This Creamy spinach and fruit filled smoothie is one of my favs. It’s like having a guilt free dessert for breakfast! I found it in the Blender Girl Smoothie recipe book. Bonus: it’s vegan and gluten free!
Happy National Kale Day! The first Wednesday of every October is a celebration of the food you either love or hate.
This gets my vote as official drink of Labor Day Weekend. What a great way to do a summer send off! (Of course, this would also be a great drink to celebrate the beginning of summer… or any day in between, really!)
Beautiful, sweet strawberries are still all over the farmers markets. Add a pear, a few kiwi’s, some chia seeds for protein, and you have a great summer morning smoothie!
This isn’t really a beet-only juice. It’s a bit-of-everything juice, with beet being the main flavor.
With all the apples in season, you may at times have more then you know what to do with.
This Kale Apple Juice really does taste like apple juice, with just a hint of other yumminess as well. In just a few minutes, with just a few ingredients, you can be sipping (or slurping) down this juice. Perfect before running out the door in the morning, or as a treat later in the day.
This superfood smoothie is packed with surprising combinations and delicious flavors… and happens to be packed full of antioxidants and fiber.
I’ve been dying for a hardcore blender to make green smoothies with, and I finally bit the bullet.
I grew up on the All American Lemonade so when I moved to the Caribbean and all I could find was Limeade… well… when in Rome. I fell in love with the sweet, tangy taste of the islands fresh juice. Sometimes sparkling, sometimes not. It has become one of my summer favorites now, even back here in Los Angeles.
Summer fruit is brimming over at the markets and this girl couldn’t be happier. I have to admit I was (pleasantly) surprised to see so many peaches and apricots all of a sudden but, duh,it is June! Bring on the stone fruits! Yummmmmm.
I recently had a conversation with someone about juicing. He juices everyday and hates it. But he does it. I told him I didn’t know what he was juicing, but I loved my juices. I suggested adding a few things like apples to add a hint of natural sweetness. Judging by the look on his face it was a bit of a revelation! Yes, you can apples to green juices. It’s okay. Add what ever you want! Right? What do you add? Here is my latest…
Make this healthy juice as is or use it as a base and add pepper, parsley or anything else you have in your fridge. The garlic is a great health boost but it’s zingy so be prepared. Or cut it in half until you’re used to garlic in your juices. but I say just go for it!
